About

Tracpipe is a UK-based business and has been manufactured in Oxfordshire since 2007. They supply a stainless steel semi-rigid gas piping system that can be laid above or underground, and in non-structural screed, it has revolutionised gas piping systems and installation. It has a 2-hour fire rating when installed without joints and can be placed in fire-protected shafts and corridors. Suitable for residential, commercial and industrial gas fitting, Tracpipe is not only easier to install than the traditional gas pipe, but it is also much safer. As Tracpipe comes on long reels, it can be cut to length; therefore fewer joints are required than when using copper piping.

Tracpipe is flexible, easy to fit and can be cabled, it is lightweight and easier to move around than copper pipe. With patented Auto Flare push fittings, no special tools are required to fit and their tube cutter is a convenient addition to the range. No hot work is required and no further protection is needed when laid underground. Their range of products includes:

TracpipeCC (complete containment) Reels

Designed to be installed in unventilated voids, TracpipeCC has a second polyethene outer layer that meets all relevant safety and installation requirements. It has been put through rigorous in house testing to ensure the outer cover acts as a ventilated duct in all installations it is likely to be used in. Independent witness testing also took place in 2019 by BSRIA, a UK laboratory for testing and performance verification. TracpipeCC can be run vertical or horizontal and has a pulling string between the 2 layers for simple installation. Available in various sizes and lengths, it is compatible with the Autoflare range of fittings.

Tracpipe Kits

Tracpipe has put together convenient packs containing shorter lengths of Tracpipe and all the fittings required for gas pipework replacement. The semi-rigid gas piping system is easier to install than the traditional steel or copper and can be buried underground, used externally above ground or buried in the non-structural screed. It is simple to cut and can be bent by hand. The kit includes the chosen length of Tracpipe, 2 Autoflare to BSP male fittings and 2m of Silicone Tape. It is an ideal solution for smaller jobs.
