Gledhill has steadily grown since 1926 and is now one of the largest cylinder manufacturers in the UK. A business with true family routes, started by two brothers and still within the same family line, they were acquired by Groupe Atlantic in 2015 helping them increase their potential and product output. With their main headquarters in Blackpool, they have five hubs located throughout the rest of the UK allowing them to effectively distribute and meet the service demands of their customers. Gledhill guarantees their customers quick delivery and pride themselves on their after-sale and technical support services.

Product Portfolio

Gledhill is a manufacturer of cylinders of any size. A 118,000-factory located next to Blackpool airport produces all of their stainless-steel cylinders, while all copper cylinders are produced at their site in Birmingham. A wide spanning array of products are contained within their portfolio including vented and unvented water cylinders and a full range of alternative energy products. StainlessLite is a range that draws the most attention from customers. One of the lightest cylinders on the market, the cylinders are manufactured from high specification duplex stainless steel. Their StainlessLite Plus range adds to this with its corrosion-resistant design. Coming in up to 400-litre sizes and in either an indirect or direct pattern, there is a cylinder to suit all needs. They have also added a range of cylinders within the collection specifically for use with renewable energies such as solar thermal and heat pumps.

Thermal Storage

Gledhill's range of Thermal Storage is perfect for installation within apartment buildings and doesn't require a G3 qualification. Each is designed to allow the homeowner to rely on more low carbon fuels, such as solar and wood burning. Available in open vented and sealed primary models there is an option to suit every installation. Offering high-performance mains hot water in each option, they are all designed to be highly efficient and in reducing energy bills as well as carbon output.

Bespoke Cylinders

Well known for their Bespoke Cylinders, Gledhill takes pride in being able to make cylinders to any specification. Offering everything from a selection of tapping heights, to varying connections sizes and positions, they can also make square cylinders where required. All are made from copper in their Centre of Excellence in Birmingham, where all their copper products are made and designed.

Gledhill sees customers as an extension of their family. At the heart of everything they do, Gledhill has tailored everything around the customer's experience. This starts with their five dispersed distribution centres, allowing them to deliver their product in an efficient and well-timed manner. On top of their readily available cylinders, they have become well known for their manufacturing of bespoke copper cylinders. They also offer ‘specials’ where they are able to quickly make cylinders of any size or one of their original cylinders with additional tappings.
