Company History

Kane is known across the industry as the UK’s best manufacturer of flue gas and engine exhaust analysers. It’s a success story rooted in a family business, beginning way back in 1954. Since then, Kane has consistently focused on developing high-quality, essential instruments for trade professionals. They launched their first portable flue gas analyser in 1982 and became Kane International in 1994 to focus fully on the analysis equipment tradespeople rely on today.

The company is still run by the family, now in its second generation. Their deep trust in their own expertise comes with a simple promise to never let customers down. That promise is called KANE CARE, which is their award-winning service plan offering a lifetime warranty and a comprehensive 20-year fixed-price service commitment. Kane works hard to be a true, trusted partner for heating engineers and professionals, making sure all their instruments are accurate, reliable, and backed by the support you need, simply, quickly, and without fuss.

Product Portfolio

The KANE team works hard to bring heating and plumbing engineers the essential tools they need for day-to-day work. Their range of analysers and testing equipment is built to simplify the job, making sure professionals can be relied on to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient service every time.

KANE258 Flue Gas Analyser

The KANE258 is the perfect entry-level analyser for both domestic gas and oil appliance installation and servicing. This versatile tool is straightforward to use with an easy rotary dial and a clear 6-line display. It measures key combustion levels like Oxygen (O2) up to 21% and Carbon Monoxide (CO) up to 2,000ppm, and it calculates Combustion Efficiency, CO2, and Excess Air.

A great technical feature is the innovative purge pump protection, which actively prevents accidental damage to the CO sensor from over-range exposure. The KANE258 is also ready for the future, capable of measuring up to a 20% Hydrogen (H2) blend. Kane stands behind this essential tool with a 10-year warranty when it is annually recertified.

KANE358 Flue Gas Analyser

For engineers needing a step up in functionality, the KANE358 builds on the solid foundation of the 258 model. It includes all the core combustion checks and calculations, but adds a high-accuracy differential pressure meter (up to +/- 80mbar) and improved differential temperature measurement.

This makes it the ideal tool for carrying out structured tests like the Benchmark new boiler commissioning test and both let-by and tightness tests. The KANE358 is designed for comprehensive domestic appliance installation and servicing and is ready for both 20% and 100% Hydrogen (H2) compensation and measurement.

KANE-TCAM Thermal Camera

To see what’s invisible to the naked eye, the KANE-TCAM is an essential problem-solver. This compact, lightweight thermal camera uses simple point-and-shoot technology to give rapid, precise temperature measurements across a wide range, from -20°C to 300°C.

The high-quality 220 x 160 infra-red resolution creates a clear picture of heat distribution. It is perfect for professionals and consumers looking to quickly spot otherwise invisible water leaks in central heating systems, confirm heating system cold spots, or see the effectiveness of insulation. The camera’s four surface measurement modes ensure accuracy across different materials.

Values and Green Credentials

Energy Efficiency Focus: They are always working to ensure their instruments help you deliver safe and energy-efficient homes, which is a massive part of the UK’s net-zero goal.
